Most geological and exploration activities in Iran is done by governmental organization which is done at the apex of their as geological universities (in frame of master and PhD thesis)

Geological survey of these studies ate in order to Iran Earth crust. Doing these affairs is possible for presentation of maps and geological reports in various scales.

Geological maps in scale of 1:250000: After beginning of GSI Establishment, in order to achieve as comprehensive information in Iran, rock types and mineral potential capability, preparation of geological maps with scale of 1:250000 in priority and it was tried to publicate a descriptive and it was tried to publicate a descriptive report besides international standards and as a complete coverage in country level as a mentioned scale and in quadrangle with results Each geological in extent of 15000 km²that area is with one degree and 1.5 degree in longitude. Over ally about 121 sheets in the map of 1:250000 all over country.

In field of geological studies, in scale of 1:250000 with respect to Iran petroleum Co. in oil susceptible area to SW in GSI in mentioned areas are eliminated from study program and some other surveys are appropriated to these areas. Field studies is related to maps with scale of 1:250000 in all regions of Iran (fig 7-1) is finished and all of them are printed (only Abdoughi Map is in last edition)

Each geological map is a descriptive report in scale of 1:250000 are bublicated as separated. Regarding global and regional usage and these reports are prepared in English Language but currently it is tried to prepare by preparation of maps and reports in two language of Persian and Language. Of course reports have not been prepared in all of maps of 1:250000.

 Geological maps with scale of 1:100000: contemporary to preparation of geological maps in scale of 1:250000 and other survey stages and complete studies with scale of 1:100000 in mineral radiated regions which is used an soLoution of key problems and also civilized programs.

Iran is covered by 659 geological map in scale of 1:100000. Each map is embeds about 2300km² located between two circuits and in distance of 0.5°. Each geological map has a scale of 1:100000 with descriptive in scale of 1:100000 and it is surveyed in fig 2-7.

In addition to geological maps, following objective maps is printed in plan format of “Geology of Iran” compilation (table 7-8).

Moreover it is compiled in plan of book compilation and following and some of its affairs in GSI and some books have been compiled about geology and mineral reservoirs.

In table 7-9, some books which have been compiled in field of mineral reservoirs is brought.
