Reviewing the Dimensions of Iran-Russia Cooperation to Prepare Geological Maps at the Scale of 1:50000 via Webinar

The meeting of JSC representatives from Rosgelogia Holding of Russia and the director and experts of National Geoscience Database of Iran (NGDIR) from the Geological Survey of Iran was held as a webinar in order to answer the questions raised for the Russian side about one of the issues of the agreement between Iran and Russia to prepare geological maps in the scale of 1:50000, i.e., database at the international affairs department of the organization.

The meeting of JSC representatives from Rosgelogia Holding of Russia and the director and experts of National Geoscience Database of Iran (NGDIR) from the Geological Survey of Iran was held as a webinar in order to answer the questions raised for the Russian side about one of the issues of the agreement between Iran and Russia to prepare geological maps in the scale of 1:50000, i.e., database at the international affairs department of the organization.

 In this meeting, the two sides reviewed the existing domestic standards in Iran for the preparation of geology, economic and geochemical maps, used equipment, databases and outputs of Iran's databases.

The first round of negotiations and consultations of JSC company from Rosgelogia Holding of Russia with the presence of representatives and senior managers of the Exploration Office of the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade, Geological Survey of Iran and IMIDRO came to a conclusion not long ago, and the two sides agreed on the selection of one to two operational blocks for the implementation of projects for the preparation of geology, geochemical and economic geological maps at the scale of 1. 50,000 by the Islamic Republic of Iran to propose to the Russian side, the use of the capacity of the geological and exploration laboratories of the Islamic Republic of Iran to perform technical and specialized services related to the joint project, training and transfer of technology to the Iranian side and conducting four-layer exploration of metal, non-metal, gemstones and rare earth elements.

It is worth mentioning that after the finalization of the description of the services and budget proposed by the Russian side and approval by the Islamic Republic of Iran, agreements will soon be signed in the form of a cooperation document between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Russia.
