Abstract:
AB-Teymur oilfield is located between Zagros and Arabian deformation zones and with due attention to possibility of containing some data to prove a crush zone, a full 3D seismic study has been done. Part of this study includes extraction of structural seismic attributes such as First & Second Derivative Maps, Azimuth Maps, Variance Cube and Seismic Inversion. Finally, using of this attributes shown interference structural features such as superimposed folding and Structural Basin in NW nose of oilfield. Therefore it seems a crush event occurred between Zagros and Arabian structures and makes a gentle refolding area. Geophysical complementary studies showing good relatively reservoir potential in parts of this belt that located in this study area. If proper reservoir setting exists in these structures, petroleum exploration future of Zagros will be revolved.
