Petrology and Geochemistry of Crustal sequence of Nain-Dehshir ophiolites

New geochemical data for rock units of Nain-Dehshir ophiolitic belt show that pillows lavas, gabbros and diabases are of tholeiitic origin, similar to MORB materials but with HFSE depletion . More evolved-acidic rocks, plagiogranites and dacites are also characterized by tholeiitic properties. Clinopyroxenes grains in pillow lavas and diabases exhibit low TiO2 content similar to those found in island arc related basalts. Geochemical data lead us to consider these rocks resemble to those erupted in back arc environments.
