Locating intrinsic mineralization units in the region of Rezve,

with the help of TM and ETM images

Abstract:

The region of Rezve with the variety of mines and intrinsic geological unites, introduce a high potential are for mineral exploration. In this respect, satellite images could give a good help to locate these units in a wide range view. The 1:100000 and 1:250000 geological sheets, besides TM and ETM images were investigated to extract needed information. The alteration layer, ring and linear structures layers and fault layer and other mineralization controlling processes were produced. The Crosta method is the last technique used here to enhance the image after filtering information extraction and principle component analysis. To introduce intrinsic mineralization units, the highest probability of mineralization is considered. The faults which had an important role and other parameters were preserved in these units.
