Abstract:
The study area is located at the north of West Azarbaijan, northwest of IRAN. In this area, groundwater supplies main water demands for different purposes such as drinking, agriculture and industry. Aim of this research is the study of groundwater hydrochemistry and determination of probable anomalies and hydrogeological relation between karstic and basaltic aquifers. Study of groundwater chemistry and hydrogeological relation between these aquifers is very important for water resource management and health of area residents. In this study beside the former hydrochemical data, 72 water samples are collected from wells and springs in high and low level groundwater durations and analyzed. The results indicate anomaly of Fluoride and Sodium in this area and hydrogeological relation between karstic and basaltic aquifer is established.
