Study of the Shaping process of Zayandehrud Consecutive Deltas Using the Remote Sensing Technique

Abstract:

Gavkhoni playa has experienced four alternative domains after the alternate dominance of the Quternary cold and warm periods.

This applies while the processes occurred to this desert including the Zayandehrud , have morphogenized in different time intervals of the Quaternary influenced by the dominance of the lake transgression and regression periods in different situations.

Relying on the remote sensing technique and Land sat 7 satellite images processing, this paper aims at identifying and reconstructing Zayandehrud past and present routes the alternate deltas remained from the river on the past banks of  Gavkhoni. At the end , the thematic map of  Zayandehrud consecutive deltas has been presented relying on the satellite images processing technique
