Investigation of aftershocks reduce rate of Rudbar, Ardabil and Zarand

Abstract

Energy released indicates at the most region estimated with aftershocks. For investigation aftershocks, local station data of Iran at 40 years studied. Aftershocks fixed with physical form. The results indicate aftershock time function of potential region. So, we have suitable cover earthquake instrument after 1990, then 1990 Rudbar earthquake and the end of damage earthquake of 2004 Zarand and between these, 1997 Ardabil earthquake investigated. The distribution of aftershocks suggest that use, Omori, Utsu and Mogi relations for 1990 Rudbar, 1997 Ardabil and 2004 Zarand earthquake aftershocks for sequence Roudbar: Omori, k=320.5 Utsu, n=825, p=-1.1 Mogi, n=790, to=8.8 Ardabil: Omori, k=320 Utsu, n=762, p=-1 Mogi, n=507, to=11.9 Zarand: Omori, k=413.5 Utsu, n=699, p= -1 Mogi, n=431, to=10.7

Indicated aftershock current rate. The result indicates physical and dynamical behavior crust. With this study for aftershocks reduce models and curls, the modified Omori model was best fitted for the later stage of the aftershock sequence
