Holding Date | 11 March 2008 |
General:
Tectonic and structural investigations by using air Photgra- phs techniques in south of Semnan (Kavir Narnak) revealed an interference of two folding trends in salt plugs. These two trends (ENE-SSESSE) may be recognised as the dominant structural trends of post Lararnide orogeny in the south central Alborz and the north central Iran.
As the result of this interference a system of domes and structural basins have been f0rmed. This event played an important role in salt diapirism in this region
