   General:
In this paper dynamic and static coefficients Of the soil, from south part of Tehran were determined using Vp and Vs velocity values.
These values were obtained from twenty boreholes, located at rang of 51°,00’ — 51°,43’E and 35°,22’ — 35°,28’N, using the suspension logging tool and vertical seismic profiling borehole logging survey. Then the confined and non-confined loading pressure tests were performed to determine the static coefficients for a few certain
points at the study area. In the next step, the empirical relations between dynamic and static coefficients of the soil were obtained, using linear fitting method. Study was made, to obtain the relations between the Vs velocity values and the standard penetration test. Results showed a good correlation between the number of SPT and the measured Vs velocity values from twenty boreholes. Also, study was made to obtain the empirical relation between nonconfined loading pressure and Vs velocity values. The results showed a good correlation between the fitted samples.
