General:
Bahram and Shishtu formations are fossilfrous formations in the age of Late Devonian in Central Iran. Conodont fauna of the two formations were studied in order to identify the age and sedimentary environmental , then 4 genera and 13 species were recognized.
Based on the conodonts the age of Bahram and partly Shishtu formations are Middle Frasnian- Late Frasnian (hassi Zonelingu formis Zone).
Most of the conodonts are Icriodontids & Polygnathid families, these families are index of shallow water (Near- Shore).
In conclution, the sedimentary environment of Bahram and Shishtu formations in the Zefreh area (Northeast of Esfahan) can be propose as shallow water at the time of Late Devonian.
