Holding Date 16 April 2008

   General:
Mafic part of Abadeh-Tashk ophiolite sequence is incomplete Only a small part of area is covered by gabbro & basalt These basalts have high contents of Ti , Zr & low ratios of Al2o3/Tio2 Cao/Tio2 which are properties of mid oceanic ridge . On the base of geochemistry of trace element , Abadeh- Tashk’s basalts is located in T-MORB and this is certified with the effect of ANb, Zr/Nb , (La/Sm)N & LaJYb . The low volume of gabbro & basalt
indicates low life time of magma chamber & consequently stopage of the developement of the ridge . Other reasones, such as obduction cause distroying the mafic parts.
