General:
The Taunrjeh area is located at about 22 km Northeast of kashmar. The study area is part of volcano- plutonic belt north of Daruneh Fault and Taknar Structurad Zone. Petrographically, They consist of lava, pyroclastics, hypabyssal and plutonic rocks. Petrological studies on nonalterated rocks have revealed a parent magma
responsible for the formation of these rocks. In alterated regions, Intrusion of plutonic and hypabyssal rocks into volcanic rocks have
caused the development of propylitic, argillic, silisic hydro thermal alteration, especially in pyroclastic rocks. Gold Reconnaissanëe exploration works in alterated areas, based on the analysis of stream sediment samples, indicates that mineralization zones are related to Dacitic tuffs along with silisic-argillic alteration.
