Determination of diagenetic trend and dolomitedifferentiation in Barut Formation (Cenetral Alborz) based on petrography and geochemistry studies Major and trace elemant and isotopic)

Category Sedimentology
Group GSI.IR
Location 20th symposium on geosciences
Holding Date 16 April 2008

General:
More than 30 carbonate intercale has been seen in sedimentary succession of Barut Formation In this research , besides petrography studies, isotopic ( 13c, 18) and elemental (Ca ,Mg, Sr , Na , Fe ,Mn ) analysis used for dolomite differentiation and determining diagenetic trend.
Dolomite differentiation occur as result of early and late diagensis processes that change the composition of fluids diagenetic and create different types of dolomites.
Four groups of different dolomites is recognized in Barut Formation , that probably fcrmed at burial diagensis.
