General:
The C Member of the Mila Formation of the Middle Cambrian to Late Cambrian Consists mainly of carbonates and elastics. The
Main purpose of this paper is to descripe the tempestites of the Member of C mila Formation and to determine facies and their depositional environments and the Limestones which deposited during fair-weather in the High Zagros, Chal-e Shir and Zard Kuh (Tang-Ielbek) areas.
Lithostratigraphyic classification in this study follows Setudehnia
(1975).
The field and petrographic investigations led to recognition of Several facies groups, which deposited during fair-weather and storm — dominated periods. The proximal to distal tempestites were recognized by Sedimentary Structures, textures, their size and bedding thickness.
The Member of C Mila Formation was deposited in a vast ramp type platform similar to the present day, Persian Gulf.
