(Investigation of mineral resource in alkaline rocks from Islami peninsula in Urmieh lake)

      The Islami peninsula with about 360 kilometers area is in 62 kilometer southwest of Tabriz. All stratigraphic-lithologic members of are belong to pliocene until quaternary. Important lithologic members area, trachyte, syenite, microsyenite and lamprophyres. These rocks belongs to shoshonite and ultrapotasic series. The investigation in this area show that partial crystalization and mineral separation is the most important mechanism for rock forms. Different diagrams show the [post collision magmatic arc] position for this area. The mineraliztion of this area is metalic and nonmetalic. Metalic ineralization is to form of copper and iron vien and vienlets. These mineralization is inrelated with subvolcanic microsyenites. There is no indication for REE, gold, titanium and vanadium mineralization in this area. Non metalic mineralization is important from metalic mineralization and include lucite , sanidine, augite and jadeite. Lucite and sanidine is crowded in tephrite and basanites. The emount of lucite in rocks is 40% occasionaly. Two lucitic area and one sanidinic area is prospected in Islami peninsula. Augite and jadeite mineralization is to from of coastal placer in north of Aq-gonbad village. The grade of pyroxen in this placer is about 95% and the estimate reserve is about 1 million tones.
