Mineral industry is the necessity of sustainable development but it should be considered industrial, social and environmental aspects of mining projects to realize sustainability of development.
For publishing environment utilizing culture, national Geoscience database of iron initiated environmental database of mining in 2003, which includes information of mineral pollutants and standards of mineral industry.
Aq Darreh Gold mine is located in Azarbuijan-e-qarbi province of iron that because of its environmental problems is considered in this paper.
Large arsenic production resulted from sulfide minerals roasting, acid mine drainage, applying cyanide in gold processing and realizing toxic materials into atmosphere, ground waters and surficial waters are the main harmful activities of mine.
During mining, no attention was paid to purifying wastewater and its penetration into water environments caused irreturnable damages, while the mining was stopped.
This paper evaluates the designed waste dump for solving the problems.
Key worlds: arsenic, sulfide minerals roasting , acid mine drainage, cyanide ,wastewater , waste dump .
