Abstract:
The quality of shiramin aquifer as the other Oroumia Lake catchment?s aquifers has diminished recently. Where upon, in the most places of it, ground waters do not qualify for drinking or even agricultural uses. After sampling from 20 wells and calculation of qualitative parameters and saturation index of calcite, dolomite, gypsum and halite, saturation index and inverse ion exchange utilized for determining zone of saltwater intrusion as well recognize of optimal place to artificial recharge. The majority of samples that indicate inverse ion exchange, also represent calcite precipitation. As well in the places calcite saturation?s front expand more, the recharge is most of other places.
