Hydrogeochemical consideration of thermal springs from Khoy ? Muko(northwest Iran)
The study area is located in westAzarbaijan and northwest Iran.The aim of this study is to analyze thermal water quality and quantity of the area and analyze spring structure.The results show the main type of thermal water in the area is HCO3-Ca and HCO3-Na.The temperature of thermal water is between 21 to 58 C.Using mixing model for some of this area spring indicate mixing of over 85%surface water with less than 15%hot deep water.The spring of study area discharge to land surface in the streak of faults and precipitation lime in the around some of the springs. The consideration show geothermal system in the area is hydrothermal medium temperature with water dominated that water in not full equilibrium with the composition of an average crystal rock. The results of silica geothermometers give reservoir temperature ranging from 70 to120C. The thermal water in the study area can be used for space heating, bathing and swimming, green house heating and fish farming.
