Evaluation of dolomitization process and its role on the porosity and permeability of Asmari Formation, Shadegan Oil Field

      one of the recently produceable oil field is Shadegan field. it's Asmari reservoir divides into two independent part and consists of ten zones.In this oil field, Dolomite percentage variations associated with thereservoir characteristics; Porosity and Permeability are evaluated.Dolomitization is a dominant process and effected on oil zones and it's max. % is ~ 85 in the first zone.Porosity and permeability are increased to depth. However it's variation rate in the upper reservoir iz higher than lower one.Sandstone horizones show the higher values than limestone layers.Evaporite minerals (such as Anhydrite) and Dolomite exist as cement or filling the fossil molds/fractures which is due to chemical composition variation of fluid phase their association indicares sabkha environment. salin waters of the gachsaran evaporitic sedimentary sequance waz penetrated
