Geometric Analysis of Dehnow Anticline & related subsurface transverse faults (Costal Fars Area, Folded- Trusted Zogros Belt)

Dehnow Anticline, located between Hendurabi and Razak lineaments and in hangingwal of Mountain Frontal Fault (MFF), has prominent characteristics such as existence of two thrust faults on the limbs, box shape of the fold at depth and occurrence of two smaller en-echelon anticlines at the core fold zone. In this study geometric analysis of Dehnow Anticline was carried out and it?s structural relation with Hendurabi and Razak lineaments, MFF and a NW-SE trending right-lateral transverse shear zone were also analyses. Folds, thrust and strike-slip faults, were used to document the kinematics evolution of the fold area. This analysis demonstrated that en-echelon folds in the core of the Anticline, Ridel, Antiridel, and P fractures together with rotation of the anticline were occurred due to the effect of the NW-SE trend right-lateral transverse shear zone.
