Structure of the gold bearing shear zones in Alut area (Kordestan province)

   Abstract:
      In the northern border of the Kordestan province, monotonous low grade meta pellitic and psamitic rocks inter- bedded with meta volcanics are exposed. This sequence is intruded by large amount of intrusive including granite, grano-diorite, diorite and mafic dikes. Two stage of folding are observed where strong axial plane foliation developed with the first tight to isoclinal folds. Ductile shear zones are also simultaneous with the first stage foliation and deformed by the second stage
