Investigation of west Alborz metalogenic properties and gold mineralization in hydrothermal alteration zones

Between north Abhar until east of Mianeh (Tarom and Talesh area), in response to Pyrenean orogenic phase (37 million years ago), appearance several plutonic rocks that usually have granodiorite to quartz-monzonite compositions.
These plutons accompany with very extensive hydrothermal alteration and mineralization that have special metalogenic properties.
The evidence shows that beside the vein mineralization. There is porphyry copper mineralization in Tarom and mesothermal or epithermal gold mineralization in Hashjin area, probably. Geological survey of Iran (G.S.I) prospecting in west Alborz and Azarbaijan (Ahar area confirm these subjects.
