Location of grouting galleries in karstic Conditions withEspecial view to Salman-e-farsi Dam

   Abstract:
      Water seepage in karstic grounds and complicated conditions of them is the cause for use of appropriate geotechnieal technique for karstic region. Curtain grouting as an underground structure is one of the best principal ways for controlling of mentioned conditions. Location of grouting galleries is designed by considering different factors such as: ground water and strata conditions, geological structures, dimension and extension of karstic cavities, contractor ability and etc. Salman Farsi dam site, in south east of Shiraz, is a karst region and designing the elevation, length, and azimuth of grouting galleries of this site are discussed in this paper.
