Reason of Raveling in Cheshme-Langan Tunnel

Abstract:
      Design and performance of tunnel for water conveyance is one of the important methods to transmit the water from one area to others. From the point of view of economy and engineering, optimum performance of tunnel in one area required the recognition of engineering geology condition of area. Cheshmehlangan tunnel is one of the abovementioned structures that have been built in west of Esfahan to transmit water from Cheshmelangan branch to Zayandehrod branch. This site has especial geological problems. This paper has been concentrated on raveling in some sections of tunnel. Some raveling has been contented to ground level and creates a settlement in land. This paper is dealing to find out the reason of raveling in critical conditions.

   General:
