Abstract:
Rock mass stability is the main parameter for design of tunnel or other underground openings. So, geotechnical and engineering geology studies of these structures are very important. The engineering rock classification has been carried out at project area and required support systems have been proposed. Also for a typical section, the tunneling quality Index classification, Q system has been performed. The details of applying these classification and also other required parameters for assessment and analysis of rock mass support along the tunnel route were obtained. With emphasis to obtained results of RMR and Q, required support system for 6+810- 8+050 section has been assessed
