Abstract:
Kouh-e-Taftan in southeastern Iran is a stratovolcano and belongs to Quaternary. It is mainly composed of pyroclastic rocks and andesitic and dacitic lavas. Phenochrysts of quartz in dacitic rocks of Taftan volcano is extensively corroded. As a result, numerous textures and shapes had been produced in the quartz that will be discussed in this paper
