Abstract:
Ghoosheh region in South-west Damghan is a part of structural unit of central Iran where Lower - Middle Paleozoic formation crop out.
In this area volcanic and hyp-abbysal igneous rocks have cut into units of Middle Cambrian and Silurian sedimentary in the from of dyke and lavas
Petrographical and geochemical studies show that these rocks have alkaline nature and were formed in continental plates and are comparable with the alkaline flood basalts of Fairbanks. (Alaska)
