   Abstract:
      Pelitic rocks in SW of Mahneshan township have experienced regional Poly ? metamorphism. The rocks also show two deformational phases D1 and D2. D2 was the main deformational phase.
   M1 metamorphism has occurred during D1 and M2 metamorphism has occurred during D2 and has produced metamorphic assemblage of staurollite, garnet, biotite, andalusite, plagioclase, muscovite and quartz. The maximum temperature of metamorphism was 520?C and the maximum pressure of metamorphism was 3.2 kbar, based on petrogenetic
   grid deductions and thermo-calc.
