Thermometry and Barometry of clinoptilolity volcanic inCentral Alborz by Hornblende

Abstract:
      Studied area focused on the upper parts of Karaj formation in Damavan-Firuzkooh area. Field studies indicated that, green tuffs of Karaj formation in Kilan, Hesarbon, and Zarindasht are altered, due to this alteration they are changed to zeolite and clay minerals. The altered tuffs with comparison to flash tuffs are lighter and have less hardness. Microscopic studies have shown that, the main component of this tuff is altered glass. These glasses have a special shape, known as glass shards.
   Scanning Electron Microscopic studies are confirmed the change of glass shard to zeolite and clay mineral from their margins. The EPMA studies indicated that, glass shard changed to clinoptilolite zeolite, so recognized by the experimental hornblende mineral. Thermometry and Barometry studies of hornblende mineral, indicated the temperature of tuffs is 691/079 and pressure 1/42+0/5 kbar.
