2D inversion of gravity data modeling

Abstract:
      Variety methods have been used for geophysical data modeling. In this paper at first we explain about inversion and its advantages, and then we will present a method for inversion of gravity data. The principle that we employed is to minimize the volume of the causative body the anomalous density. The anomalous density distribution is obtained by using of an iterative technique is rapidly convergent. Models obtained with this method can be adapted to gravity anomalies by single density sources. The advantage of this approach is that desirable geologic characteristics are automatically incorporated in to the model that makes it easy for interpretation. The method applies regular array of identical rectangular blocks whose densities can be individually specified. For showing the ability of this method, we used it with both synthetic and actual data. We have applied data of Ahmadabad chromites mine as actual data.
