Interpretation of Sedimentary Basin of Gorgan Plain byUsing of Geophysical Data (Geo-gravity, Satellite and Seismic)

Abstract:
      Gorgan plain is located in the north of Iran surrounded by Caspian sea in the west, kopet-Dagh in the east and Alborz volcanic arc in the south. Gorgan basin which elongated to the north named in outer border of Iran, ''west Turkamanestan basin''. So, this basin surrounded by kopet-?Dagh northwest to southeast fault and Main E-W trending fault of north of Alborz and some faults parallel to that Main Alborz one. These faults controlled the geodynamic of the basin and its evolution. For understanding the evolution of the basin which now covered by quaternary deposit, we have used geophysical and well data.

   General:
