Mapping near surface water canal using 3D refraction survey
Many different phenomena affect near surface seismological parameters. One of the most important problems is the case of near surface anisotropy. Some of common examples of these zones are joints, cracks and preferred orientation of cracks and joints within a refractor. This study addresses a new kind of small scale near surface anisotropy. The results interpreted as 2 layers and the effect of water channel on the time-depth and depth contours analyzed. Final conclusion is a good estimation of both horizontal location and depth of water canal with respect to prior information.
