Characterization and direct flotation of apatite ofGazestan phosphate deposit

Abstract:
      Mineralogical studies have shown that Gazestan phosphate samples have silicate and carbonate minerals as gang. Tests results were shown that apatite dispersion is large and its size varies from centimeters to microns.
   In this study experimental design has been made for apatite direct flotation. The effects of main parameters and their side effects in rate and recovery of apatite concentrate have been evaluated. Results indicate that the produced concentrate from feed containing 5.5% P2O5, consists of 22.5% P2O5 with 72.5% recovery.
