Abstract:
Asmari Formation in southern flank of the Koh-e Bangestan includes 6 groups of microfacies; microfacies of open marine environment (group A) barrier environment (group B) lagoon environment (group C), inter-tidal environment (group D) and super-tidal environment (group E). Based on the interpretation of microfacies, the Asmari Formation depositional environment in the studied area is a shallowness upward platform.
