First research on Paleoecology, from Synecology ofMiocene (Mishan Formation) fauna in the Konar Takhteh Section

Category Paleontology and Stratigraphy
Group GSI.IR
Location 21th symposium on geosciences
Holding Date 24 May 2008

Abstract:
While ecology with paleontology are composed (the quality and function of ancient organisms life as alive its habitat), the fossils as a part of an ecological complex system can be identified. Paleoecologies of each ecosistem in local scale, regional and internationally can be reconstructed. The biostratigraphy section of Mishan Formation (Fars group), is exposed in 180km west of Shiraz and 40km west of Kazerun. The geographic position (Map1) of this area is about: 15?-52?:00?E and 28?-30?:00?N and in 50km southeast of Mishan village (type section). This formation includes 943 meter of limestone, marl and marly limestone, the lower and upper contact, is concordant, gradual with Gachsaran Formation and concordant, sharp with Agha-JariFormation.
