   Abstract:
The lower part of Khoshyeilagh Formation in the northeast of Shahrud, at the Mighan section, has been stratigraphically investigated. The rock-unit consists of conglomerate, shale, sandstone and limestone which have been subdivided in to litostratigraphic units. The conodont of the limestone beds, shaly limestone and dolomitic limestone has been carefully identified. In this section, it has been shown three local biozones: biozone inversus zone, costatus zone, and middle varcus zone.
