Introduction of the four species of plant macrofossils ofGymnosperms (Cycadophyta and Ginkgophyta) for the First time in Iran

Abstract:
      In order to study and introduce plant fossils, Ramsar ? Javaher deh (northern Alborz) and Eshkevarat-e-olia (Central Alborz) areas were studied. The performed investigation conducted us to the presentation of four species of Gymnosperms group for the first time in Iran. The two, Ctenis kaneharai and Pseudoctenis herriesi species belong to Cycadophytes group and Cycadales order. The two, Ginkgoites longifolius and Baiera furcata species belong to Ginkgophytes group and Ginkgoales order. In this paper, it has been tried to discuss the opinions of Schweitzer and Irchner (1995, 1998) regarding the introduced species of four above-mentioned genuses, introduced in Iran.

   General:
