Ostracods from the Konarak area of the Costal Makran of Iran

   Abstract:
      For the first time, the Ostracod from the marly deposits of Konarak (Iranian coastal Makran) has been studied. The aim of this article is to determine Ostracod species found in this area, and to demonstrate their use for biostratigraphic studied in this section. According to this study 6 new species are reported and photographed.
   On the base of the determined species, and their comparison with the nanofossils studied from this area (Hadavi, 2000), the age of this section is Late Miocene.
