   Abstract:
The Khorgu earthquake with magnitude Ms=7 occurred on March 21,1977 in the mountains about 40km north of Bandar Abbas, south Iran .It killed 152 people and injured 556.The maximum intensity of the main shock just exceeded VIII (MM). According field observation, earthquake was not associated with any fresh surface faulting, or with reactivation of existing faults, nor movements of salt dome at the surface. In this work we have determined focal mechanism of main shock and aftershocks by using of first arrival polarity of p-wave. Considering limited stations, we can?t obtain individual solution for each earthquake.
