Structural analysis of SW Part of NorthTabriz fault, in Mianeh

   Abstract:
      The NW- SE trending North Tabriz fault is one of the major geological structures located in northwest of Iran which effects on geology and morphology of the region. Across the fault, Neogene's sediments of north Tabriz and Paleozoic rocks of MeroMountains are juxtaposed with the Tabriz plain.
   In present study , we tried to reveal the relation between the faults in the Mianeh area and the main Tabriz fault .We can also tried to answer the question that if we can consider these structures as North Tabriz fault's terminations?
   Based on field studies, most of the faults are reverse. Analysis of field stress in the region compared with the dominant field stress in North Tabriz fault (NW-SE) indicates that trend of the maximum principle stress changes into NE-SW in the studied area.

   General:
