Austin Exploration has announced that spud-in is complete and drilling is underway at the Jeter Branch oil and gas prospect in Caddo County, Louisiana, in the US.Austin Managing Director, David Schuette said that with the completion of the Jeter Branch spud-in, the company now had two of its oil and gas prospects being drilled simultaneously. “Coupled with the progress at SW Edwards, this is an exciting time for our company,” Mr Schuette said. “Our team is working hard on both wells and I am looking forward to the continued progress.” The Jeter Branch prospect is located in Caddo County, Louisiana, and is designed to test Middle and Upper Cretaceous reservoirs down to 1,661m. The well is substantiated by good subsurface control and two 2D seismic lines. Austin Exploration owns a 30 percent working interest in the prospect, which is surrounded by production less than 3km away. The drill site is in a high and dry land location, with gas pipelines located approximately 2,130m from the well location.
