Major drilling campaign underway at Ann Mason
PacMag Metals has recommenced drilling at its 100 percent-owned Ann Mason copper-molybdenum project, located in Nevada, USA.PacMag said a 2006 scoping study indicated that the project has the potential to provide a significant financial return, with a mineral resource of 810 million tonnes @ 0.4% copper and 0.004% molybdenum (7.1 billion pounds of contained copper metal). The company is accelerating its drilling activities at Ann Mason and in the surrounding district, with drill testing planned for eight existing targets and at one new copper-iron target, where the PacMag is in the process of securing additional land holdings. PacMag said drilling will be ongoing for approximately six months, with results to be released to the market as they become available. Drilling has re-commenced, initially on the Ann Mason northwest resource target where reverse circulation drilling in February confirmed the potential for high-grade copper mineralisation in an area of sparse previous drilling. PacMag said the hole in progress, a re-drill of the second planned, but not completed reverse circulation drill hole, will test the large 400m gap in existing drilling at the north-western end of the higher-grade copper trend at Ann Mason.
