New mineralised zones confirmed at Watershed
Vital Metals has confirmed the presence of two new zones of scheelite mineralisation at the company’s wholly-owned Watershed Project in far North Queensland and has indicated continuity of mineralisation between the current ‘eastern’ and ‘western’ zones of the deposit.New drill results have verified the presence of strong mineralisation in multiple quartz vein swarms at shallow depths in a zone situated some 300m south of the current limits of the Watershed deposit and in a new area about 500m north of the known mineralisation. Vital said infill diamond drilling work has also been in progress; with the analytical data for a further six holes now available. The results of two of these holes, which were completed in the section between the western and eastern zones of the deposit, are particularly significant in that they suggest there is continuity between these two zones. Vital has completed a 14-hole reverse circulation percussion program, aggregating 1,297m, to investigate targets to both the north and south of the currently defined resource. This is the first time reverse circulation drilling has been used at Watershed. The results of the reverse circulation work have confirmed the presence of potentially viable grades of scheelite in the south-western and northern zones at depths generally of less than 100m, outside the confines of the known limits of the Watershed deposit.
