Compass appoints Chief Operating Officer
The Board of Compass Resources has appointed Paul Chare as Chief Operating Officer.Paul is an honours graduate of the Royal School of Mines and has over 30 years experience in Australia and overseas in mining and ore processing project development and operations. This includes extensive experience in the leaching, solvent extraction and electrowinning of base metals.He will be based in Darwin and will report directly to the Managing Director, Richard Swann. Mr Chare will be focusing entirely on specific aspects of Operations in the Northern Territory including finalising the development of the Browns Oxide Project, the development of additional oxidised base metals resources, and the studies, test work and permitting for sulphide and uranium projects. He will also continue developing working relationships with Government representatives, the local community and other interested parties as Compass further establishes its presence in the Northern Territory.The Managing Director’s team is steadily being built up with industry specialists who have first class track records. Recruitment of other key executives and managers continues.The company has said that the oxide project remains an important immediate development that will be highly profitable at forecast metal prices. Nevertheless, it is the sulphides base metals resources and uranium resources in our NT assets portfolio which, when developed, will be the transforming shareholder wealth builders.
