Kingsgate Says Mining Applications Unaffected, Trading Resumes

  Kingsgate Consolidated Ltd., owner of Thailand's biggest gold mine, said its application for nine new mining leases in the Asian nation won't be affected by recent changes to the country's mining regulations. Applications to expand the Chatree mine will be processed as normal and are almost complete, Sydney-based Kingsgate said today in a statement to the Australian Stock Exchange. The company's shares will resume trading today after being suspended Dec. 5 in the wake of Thai media reports that the Chatree expansion could be delayed.
