Broken Hill police spent most of this morning at the scene of a ram-raid in Patton Street.Detective Inspector Mick Stoltenberg says a utility was driven through the front doors of a business just after 2:00am AEST.He says the ute was stolen from a Fisher Street house earlier in the night, and was found wedged in the shop’s front entrance. Detective Inspector Stoltenberg says the police were alerted to the crime by witnesses."A couple of nearby residents have been woken with a fright, jumped outside and seen it virtually unfolding there before them, description given light coloured top with a hood, wearing a light coloured cap, a male passenger, black and white stripped shirt, with a black hood, wearing gloves, blue jeans and there was another, black jacket, blue jeans, again with a hood and a cap," he said.
