Closing Ceremony of the 36th National and 3rd International Geological Congress

By the report of Public Relations Department in Geological Survey of Iran, the 36^th National and 3^rd International Geological Congress ended its work by introducing highlight articles, books and maps.

At the beginning of this ceremony, a number of pioneers geologists Iran, including Dr. Abdollah Saeedi, Dr. Baha'ddin Hamdi, Dr. Manouchehr Ghorashi, Dr. Morteza Amini, Dr. Abdolrahim Houshmandzadeh and Dr. Mohammad Reza Sahandi, presented the memories of many years of scientific activities and geological studies in the Iran zone.

Further, the secretariat of the congress appreciated 50 years of continuous activities and scientific research by Dr. Manouchehr Qorashi.

The Iranian Geologists' Campaign also thanked Dr. Razyeh Lak, Deputy Minister and Director General of Geological Survey of Iran, Mr. Reza Jadidi, Director of Public Relations and Mr. Sayed Hadi Mir Mohammad Meigouni, Director of International Affairs for their contribution to this campaign.

Following this ceremony, the Committee for evaluation of Earth Science Book of the year, leaded by 23 experts and specialist as referee, announced several translations and compilation books among 18 books submitted to this committee.

At the end, Dr. Morteza Talebian announced final statement of the 36^th National and 3^rd International Geological Congress.
