Memorandum of Understanding between Geological Survey of Iran and ROSGEO

 

On 14th session of Iran-Russia Joint Economic Cooperation Commission, a Memorandum of Understanding and was signed in field of Research on Underground Resources and Caspian Sea Basin.

At the end of 14th session of Iran-Russia Joint Economic Cooperation Commission in Moscow, Massoud Karbasiyan, Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and Russian Minister of Energy, Alexander Novak, signed 10 cooperation documents to develop bilateral relations in various sectors of the economy.

The Memorandum of Understanding on Development of Underground Resources and Caspian Subsea was signed in the form of 10 Iranian-Russian cooperation documents.

In this session, 10 important documents have been signed in fields such as geology, transportation, gas, thermal power, artistic culture, Caspian subsea studies, mineral investments, transit and exchange of wheat.

In memorandum signed by Roman Panov, CEO of ROSGEO, and Dr Razyeh Lak, Director General of Geological Survey of Iran, two parties agreed to expand cooperation in field of geology and exploration and special cases, including regional geological evaluation and mineral resources. Mineral Exploration, Geophysical Exploration for Minerals and Groundwater Resources, Groundwater Modeling, Marine Geology, Mining and Environmental Studies, GIS Geographic Information Systems, Expert Training, Laboratory Services, and Possibility of Creating a Collaboration Specifically in the areas of strategic exploration projects in Caspian Sea and areas in Islamic Republic of Iran which was agreed by both parties.
