Geological Survey of Iran and Sorbonne University

Following visit of Dr. Razyeh Lak -Director General- to France, a Memorandum of Understanding is signed between Geological Survey of Iran and Sorbonne University.

For implementation of this cooperation, different meeting has been held to discuss and exchange of views on the issues related to training of experts of Geological Survey of Iran in form of preparing geological maps in scale of a 1:50 000, as well as training of modern laboratory equipment.

Another project is preparing a 3D National Geological Map of Iran in scale of 1:5 000 000. The project will run for three years, and at the end of the second year, draft of this map will be prepared.
